About the Methodological Department

General Provisions

The Methodological Department is a structural unit of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”.

In its activities, the Methodological Department is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, laws of Ukraine, resolutions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, regulatory acts of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, other central executive bodies of Ukraine, the Charter of the University, orders and orders of the Rector, decisions of the Methodological Council of the University.

Purpose and areas of activity of the Methodological Department

1. The purpose of the Methodological Department is to organize, coordinate, record and control methodological work at the university, provide information support and assistance to scientific and pedagogical workers in improving pedagogical skills, and disseminate best practices in methodological work.
2. The main areas of activity of the Methodological Department are:

• organization of the work of the University Methodological Council;
• improving the professional skills of university teachers;
• research and implementation of the latest educational technologies;
• improving the information support of methodological work at the university;
• planning and organizing the publication of educational and methodological literature;
• control and analysis of the quality of the methodological component of the educational process at the university;
• development of external ties and exchange of experience in the field of methodological work;
• organization and holding of scientific and methodological conferences, seminars and other events.

Tasks of the Methodological Department

According to the areas of activity, the following tasks are assigned to the methodological department:

• organization of methodological seminars for the purpose of training young scientific and pedagogical workers of the university;
• implementation of methodological assistance to institutes, faculties and departments in the implementation of modern pedagogical technologies in the educational process process;
• generalization and dissemination of positive experience in methodological work of institutes, faculties and departments of the university;
• implementation of methodological assistance to institutes, faculties and departments in the implementation of distance learning forms;
• generalization and dissemination of information about the latest educational technologies in Ukraine and abroad;
• creation of a permanent exhibition of educational and methodological literature published at the university;
• control of compliance of the indicators of the university’s methodological work with the licensing and accreditation requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
• analysis of the state of methodological work in institutes, faculties and departments of the university;
• monitoring the demand for methodological literature among students;
• exchange of experience in methodological work with higher educational institutions of Kharkiv, Ukraine and abroad;
• organization of methodological conferences, schools, seminars, introduction of competitions, exhibitions of methodological developments, educational literature, introduction of a system of material and moral encouragement for the winners of competitions.
